The following resources are those that I have used during the course of Gillie's lameness.

Lisa at the Westergate Branch of Arun Veterinary Group has looked after Gillie since he came home at 9 weeks old! She has recently moved to Arun Venterinary Group and I am so impressed with the practice. It is modern, really well thought out and so welcoming. Even though Gillie is not keen on what goes on at the vets he adores all the staff! Lisa has supported Gillie through his issues with arthritis and has done the Arthramid injection for Gillie.

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists
This was the second referral practice we went to as I wasn't happy with the first. I would recommend SCVS. The service from referral to appointment and beyond was excellent. We have seen both Andrew and Phil and I have felt very confident in the advice they have given me. I have never felt under pressure to have investigations or treatments and everything has been fully explained at all times. They are based in Ringwood.

Gillie has been insured with Lifetime Pet Cover since 2015. Insurance can be a minefield but I can not fault the way they have handled my claim. Unlike some insurance companies, they do not exclude any conditions that have not been investigated or treated in the past two years. Gillie actually had his elbows and shoulders x-rayed in 2012 following a bout of lameness that was eventually put down to soft tissue injury. As he had no further investigation or treatment between then and his lameness starting in 2016 this was covered. They have paid claims without any problem both to me and directly to the referral vets. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They won awards at the Insurance Choice Awards in 2017 for 'Best Pet Insurance' and 'Treating Customers Fairly'.

The Canine Arthritis Management website and forum are invaluable resources for owners of dogs with arthritis at any stage. Really useful information and a forum for asking any questions. Run by an amazing team of knowledgeable people.

Following his surgery Gillie has had both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy at 121 Animal Therapy. Lisa and Jane are both lovely and take their time to make sure Gillie is comfortable.
